Laura K. Weston

Ms. Weston obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria in 2012 and was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2013.  As a family lawyer, Ms. Weston has represented clients at all levels of court in British Columbia, including the Court of Appeal.  She has also represented clients using negotiation and mediation as a means of effective settlement.  Ms. Weston joined Duncan & Faber in 2017.

Ms. Weston is passionate about representing families and individuals through the legal aspects of major transitions, whether it be cohabitation, separation, divorce, or the addition of new family members through reproductive technologies.

As a student, Ms. Weston was involved in the Environmental Law Centre and the Legal Information Clinic, which provide pro bono services and information to the Victoria community.  An active participant in politics, Ms. Weston ran for office in the 2015 election.

When not in the office or in court, Ms. Weston can usually be found cycling, running, or just generally chasing her two small children and one large dog.
